Terms and Conditions of use for Net-Safe

Net-Safe offers registered users an easy and secure login to several portals.

To complete registration, you are required to provide some personal information at www.net-safe.info and accept that the information is checked and updated in accordance with the §5 in the Danish act "Persondataloven". This may involve occasional tests to assert the validity of contact information. As a basis we only require the information necessary to uniquely establish your identity. Net-Safe does not require the use of the Danish civil registry number "CPR-nummer". Net-Safe assigns a different internal ID for each portal you sign up to. Net-Safe does not have access to information that you post directly on the individual portals.

You have full access to monitor the information about yourself as held by Net-Safe. You can also monitor which parts of this information you have asked Net-Safe to relay to a particular portal. Depending on which functions of a portal you wish to use, you may be required to submit additional information. You may also decide to provide further information if you do not want to use the same contact information on different portals.

If you unregister with a portal, Net-Safe will no longer relay or update information for this portal. Net-Safe requires that all associated portals complies with "Persondataloven" and informs how information is maintained and used. Net-Safe cannot be held responsible for the portals compliance with these terms. It is your own responsibility to draw the attention of portals and authorities to such problems. If Net-Safe is repeatedly made aware of a portals lack of compliance with current law and its own rules, Net-Safe will actively pursue a solution to the problems.

As Net-Safe manages your data on behalf of the associated portals, you must be fully unsubscribed from these before you may delete your profile in Net-Safe. Please observe that applicable law may require that information is stored for a certain period of time before deletion. Requests for profile deletion may be sent per email to cancel@net-safe.info with your UserID included. Please provide a reason for this request if your are dissatisfied with Net-Safe. You will afterwards receive an email with instructions.

Pretending to be another person than yourself is punishable by law, and Net-Safe will draw attention to any attempts to do so. You are held responsible for any loss others may suffer as a consequence of your deliberate submission of false information. Hence it is essential that you provide correct information to Net-Safe even if you select not to share this information with any portals or other users of these. Without your consent information will normally be released by court order only. Net-Safe may, however, decide to release information directly to police authority for use in ongoing investigations or for reporting supposedly illegal incidents that affect Net-Safe, an associated portal or any other registered user.

New features addressing users as well as portals will be continually added to Net-Safe. These efforts will observe and respect the latest international and Danish recommendations for usercentric identity management solutions. The use of these features is generally optional. A portal may however decide to require the use of these features for certain purposes.
